Avalaunch app requires registration before a sale closes to new participants
Updated ·Avalaunch app, a token sale launchpad on Avalanche, requires timely sale registration even when you already have staked XAVA. If the registration deadline has passed without a completed registration, you must wait for another sale’s registration period. A missing registration record deserves a closer look, however: the connected wallet may differ from your verified wallet, or your transaction may remain incomplete. Those conditions affect whether you can finish registering while the window remains open; they do not extend its deadline.
Registration closes before the opportunity to purchase
Registration confirms your interest in a particular token sale and establishes participation before the purchasing round begins. Account creation, identity verification, and allocation staking serve different purposes. Completing those prerequisites does not enter every sale automatically. This distinction explains why a sale can still be approaching its purchase period while accepting no new registrations. The relevant cutoff is the registration closing time, rather than the later start of your purchasing round.
Which record confirms that I registered?
Your registration record for the selected sale and verified wallet confirms registration; a staking balance alone does not establish that status. Account information distinguishes upcoming registrations from past purchases and allocations. These records answer different questions, so an old participation entry cannot confirm entry into a new offering.
The verified wallet
Sale participation requires an approved account in a permitted jurisdiction and the wallet verified with that account. The connected address must therefore match that wallet, with the connection using Avalanche C-Chain. A different address can display different account information even when the same person controls both wallets. Comparing addresses and the selected network requires no token transfer. Moving XAVA between wallets would change balances without resolving which address holds the registration.
The registration transaction
Registration requires transaction confirmation after selecting an eligible round. A wallet prompt or an attempted submission does not establish successful completion. Transaction status and the account’s sale registration should agree before you treat the attempt as complete. If they disagree, preserve the transaction identifier and resolve that discrepancy before submitting another transaction.
A missing registration can reflect different conditions
The sale’s registration window, wallet eligibility, and transaction outcome determine whether a missing record remains recoverable. While registration remains open, you can complete unmet eligibility requirements. If the registration transaction is pending, wait for its outcome before retrying. If it failed and no registration exists, retry only while the window remains open and your wallet is eligible. Before confirming a Staking Round registration, account for the lock on your total stake until the sale ends. Once registration closes, correcting the connection can reveal an existing registration, but it cannot create one retroactively.
The following requirements cover sale registration, including the conditions specific to the Staking Round. Their timing comes from the selected sale and account state, rather than a universal waiting period.
| Registration requirement | Required value or state | Timing or participation limit |
|---|---|---|
| Account | An Avalaunch account | Required before sale registration |
| Identity verification | Completed KYC | Required for sale participation |
| Wallet identity | The wallet verified with the account | Sales use the verified wallet |
| Wallet network | Avalanche C-Chain | Must match the sale connection |
| Staking eligibility | XAVA in allocation staking | Applies to the Staking Round |
| Registration window | Open for the selected sale | Closes at that sale’s registration deadline |
| Primary round selection | An eligible Validator Round or Staking Round | One confirmed choice; it cannot be changed |
| Completed registration | Confirmed for the selected sale and wallet | Purchasing follows the applicable round schedule |
Account approval and sale registration remain separate even when the interface presents them close together. An eligibility message establishes permission to attempt the relevant action. It does not show that the action succeeded. Conversely, a connection problem does not prove that an earlier registration failed. The existing transaction and sale record settle that distinction.
Can Auto-Buy rescue a missed registration deadline?
Auto-Buy cannot replace a missed sale registration because it automates purchasing an allocation during the sale window. It addresses absence during purchasing, rather than failure to register. It also requires deposited AVAX collateral to cover the allocation purchase and transaction fees. Enabling automation or depositing funds therefore does not establish registration for an offering that has already closed to new participants.
Its enablement window also ends at the beginning of the sale, and it cannot be disabled once the sale begins.
Missing registration does not trigger that sale’s cooldown
The post-IDO cooldown applies to users who registered for that IDO. Simply holding a stake while missing registration does not trigger that sale’s cooldown. Existing commitments still matter: another registration or an optional term lock can affect withdrawal availability. Depositing withdrawn XAVA into allocation staking again incurs a deposit fee. Moving funds out and back in does not repair a missed registration, and the missed deadline alone does not determine whether the entire balance is immediately withdrawable.
How long is the wait for another sale?
The wait lasts until another sale opens registration, rather than a fixed number of days after the missed deadline. Each offering has its own schedule. A completed sale or an old announcement does not establish the date of the next opening. Without an announced registration period, there is no definite countdown to give. Keeping XAVA staked also does not reserve entry into an unannounced sale or remove the need to register when one becomes available.
The next registration introduces commitments of its own
A future registration window offers another opportunity to participate, with fresh sale terms and a separate decision about committing funds. The missed offering’s schedule does not carry forward. Neither does an earlier purchase establish entry into a later sale.
Choosing the eligible round
The registration process presents the primary rounds available to the connected wallet. Once you confirm a round, you cannot change that selection. Check eligibility and choose your round before confirming, particularly when the wallet qualifies for more than one primary round.
Accepting the staking restriction
Registering for the Staking Round locks the total stake until the sale completes. During the post-sale cooldown, withdrawing incurs a fee in XAVA that declines over time; the cooldown itself does not prohibit withdrawal. Reading account status and comparing the sale schedule do not create that registration commitment; confirming registration does. If preserving immediate access to the stake is essential, that restriction matters before entering the next sale.
Quick answers
-
Does the Booster Round offer a second chance after missed registration?
- The Booster Round does not provide a general late-registration route. It offers remaining tokens to eligible XAVA stakers who opt in and deposit AVAX collateral and gas funds before the sale begins. Unsold tokens do not erase the sale’s registration requirement, so their availability cannot establish eligibility after a missed deadline.
-
Will pending identity verification reserve a place before registration closes?
- Pending identity verification does not constitute sale registration. Completed KYC is a prerequisite, and registering for the selected offering remains a separate requirement. An application submitted before the deadline therefore does not establish participation if approval and sale registration remain unfinished when the window closes.
-
Which time zone applies to an Avalaunch registration deadline?
- The time zone stated in the selected sale’s registration schedule governs its deadline. Sale announcements can express those times in UTC. When comparing that schedule with a local clock, retain the stated date as well as the time, because conversion can place the deadline on a different local calendar day.
-
Is a claimable allocation proof that I registered for the next sale?
- A claimable allocation belongs to its own sale and does not establish registration for another offering. Vesting records concern purchased tokens and their release schedule. Upcoming registration records concern entry into a particular sale, even when both appear within the same account.
-
Should I send identity documents to someone offering late registration?
- An offer to obtain late registration does not establish a legitimate exception to the deadline. Identity verification belongs within the account’s designated KYC process. Sending documents to an unsolicited contact does not complete that process or create a valid sale registration, and it exposes the documents to that recipient.
